Dr Bedangshu Saikia

Dr Saikia’s paediatric career spans across India and the United Kingdom. He has over 15 years of experience in looking after babies and children. He currently works as a paediatric critical care consultant with the Leicester Children’s Hospital at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Dr Saikia can deal with all aspects of children’s health and development, from the everyday treatment of common childhood complaints to the investigation and management of rare conditions, working with sub-specialists as necessary. His services range from a general check-up if you have concerns regarding your child’s overall health, or would simply like peace of mind, to more specific areas such as nutrition, weaning, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux, abdominal pain, growth, feeding disorders, food intolerance, asthma, wheeze, allergy, coughs, colds, recurrent infections, urine infections, bedwetting, sleep problems and hygiene and advice on vaccinations.

Dr Saikia’s clinical practice is based on the best available evidence, with a child and parent-orientated multi-disciplinary approach to provide the best care.
