Dr Gururaj Setty
Gururaj has been a Paediatrician in the UK for more than 20 years. He graduated from one of South India’s premier institutions i.e. Bangalore Medical College. He moved to the UK in 2004 to pursue postgraduate studies. He worked in various paediatric hospitals such as Brighton Children’s Hospital, Newham University Hospital, Peterborough District Hospital and University Hospitals of Leicester. He has attained specialist qualifications in the Royal College of Paediatrics and Madras University. He has published journal articles and been involved in training..
Currently, he is a Consultant Paediatrician in one of the busy Community Paediatrics departments, Leicestershire NHS Partnership NHS Trust. His main interest is ADHD and ASD and has been ASD Lead in his department for several years. He has led, contributed to various QI Projects and Neuro-developmental Pathways.
Gururaj is keen in helping children and young people with Neurodevelopmental conditions. He is involved in MDT interventions including medication options where needed. Gururaj has expertise in Autism, ADHD, Sleep problems, Behavioural Difficulties, Developmental Coordination Disorders(dyspraxia), Bed wetting, Constipation, Developmental Delay, Syndromes and various other community paediatric problems.
Gururaj also keeps him fit with sports such as tennis, Cricket and Walking. He also spends time with his family, who keep him busy with all their activities.
