Shanthi Subbanna

Shanthi Subbanna is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over 25 years of expertise, holding qualifications in HPC and PCSLT. With more than 20 years in autism assessments within a multidisciplinary setup, she has worked alongside paediatricians, psychiatrists, clinical and educational psychologists, and occupational therapists.
In the past six years, Shanthi has expanded her clinical skills to include autism assessments within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). She is well-versed in assessing autism in young individuals presenting with mental health concerns and is proficient in conducting ADOS assessments across Modules 1, 2, 3, and 4, covering the 0-19 age range.
As a seasoned Speech and Language Therapist, Shanthi excels in interacting with children and young people, tailoring her approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. She has also served as a Lead Clinician in autism assessments, providing valuable conclusions to families and directing them to appropriate services in their local area.
Shanthi is passionate about helping families and young people recognize and embrace their neurodiversity. She believes that autism assessments play a vital role in this journey. Outside of her professional life, Shanthi enjoys gardening, walking, yoga, and mindfulness.
