Dr Kerry Shalders

Dr Kerry Shalders is a UK-trained female dermatologist who has been working in Dermatology since 2001. She is a highly experienced, compassionate doctor who provides exceptional, holistic, personalised care for a wide range of skin conditions. She completed her undergraduate medical training at Nottingham University, with subsequent General Medical and Dermatology specialist training in the West Midlands and London.

Dr Shalders has been working as a substantive NHS Consultant in Dermatology at North West Anglia Hospitals since 2009, looking after patients with the full spectrum of skin disease. Her specialist interest is in inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. She has held both Skin Cancer Lead and Clinical Service Lead positions for Dermatology and Plastics at North West Anglia Hospital in the past and has been involved in providing services as an external assessor for the National Skin Cancer Peer Review Programme across the country. Her commitment to patient care was recognised in 2023, when she received the only publicly nominated award at the Trust’s outstanding achievement awards, the Stamford and Rutland Hospital Health Hero Award.

Dr Shalders takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns. This enables her to provide advice and tailored personalised treatment plans, based on individual needs and to empower patients to manage their skin conditions.
