Dr Mark McConnochie

Dr Mark McConnochie is a General Adult Psychiatrist working within the NHS as a Consultant in a Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team. Qualifying in 2006 from Leicester Medical School, he completed his psychiatric training within the East Midlands, gaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Practice.

He has significant experience in management, training and leadership roles, including a Foundation Training Programme Director for Psychiatry, Lead Consultant and as Clinical Director for both inpatients and urgent care. He led the redesign of the Crisis Team and was a medical lead for LPT’s All Age Transformation from 2017-2019.

Dr McConnochie is highly skilled in the assessment and management of many mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and personality disorders, amongst others. He has received training in CBT, DBT and psychotherapeutic approaches that he utilises in clinical care. He co-led the foundation of a specialist mood disorders clinic within LPT. He is branching out into private practice to use his skills and experience to provide care to a wider group of people who need psychiatric assessment and treatment. He is an advocate of individualised care built around the strengths of the person.

Dr Mark McConnochie will only see self-funding patients.
