Dr Shilpee Sinha

Dr Shilpee Sinha is a Consultant Paediatrician with a specialist interest in Paediatric Allergy, currently working at Royal Derby Hospital. She has over 15 years of paediatric experience.
Dr Sinha completed her paediatric training in the East Midlands Deanery and has worked across all major hospitals in the region, gaining broad experience in the full spectrum of paediatrics—from community and general paediatrics to neonatal and paediatric intensive care. She was awarded her Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2015.

In her specialist allergy clinics, Dr Sinha assesses and manages food allergies, recurrent gastrointestinal reactions, urticaria (hives), allergic rhinitis, and asthma. She is registered with the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) as a Paediatric Allergist.

Dr Sinha is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and regularly attends regional and national meetings to keep her practice evidence-based and up to date. She is also a Neonatal Life Support (NLS) instructor and is actively involved in teaching junior doctors, nurses, and midwives in the management of newborn emergencies. Known for her calm, clear, and compassionate communication style, Dr Sinha is dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic care tailored to each child and family. Having worked with children and families from a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural, and demographic backgrounds—and as a parent of two herself—she understands the concerns parents face and strives to treat every child with empathy, professionalism, and genuine care.
