She has extensive experience having worked within both the NHS and private sector, with specialist experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions requiring surgical intervention.
As a specialist in podiatric surgery, she has masses of experience in every part of the surgical pathway including the assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning of MSK conditions, through to advanced local anaesthesia, peri-operative care, wound management and post-operative rehabilitation. Throughout her practice, she has worked closely with orthopaedic, diabetes and vascular specialists, as well as wider multidisciplinary teams, managing both routine and complex foot conditions.
Amirah has a strong interest in all aspects of podiatry, from common foot problems through to complex musculoskeletal, surgical, high-risk and diabetic foot conditions. She is passionate about providing personalised care with a strong evidence base in order to help patients understand their condition and available treatment options to prevent any surgical intervention.

Outside of work, Amirah has a strong passion for sport, particularly football, having played competitively for over 20 years, including at semi-professional level. She also enjoys music and travelling.
