Advanced Posture & Movement Assessment in Leicester
Understand How Your Whole Body stands and Moves. Objective Data. Clinical Expertise. Personalised Care.
Your body is designed to move as one connected system. The way you stand, balance, walk and move all influence how forces travel through your muscles, joints and spine. When one area is not functioning efficiently, other parts of the body often compensate, which may contribute to pain, injury or reduced performance over time.
At The Health Suite Leicester, our Advanced Posture & Movement Assessment combines PHITS lower limb biomechanical assessment with MOTI Physio 3D Body Analysis to build a complete picture of how your body functions. Rather than looking at one joint or one area in isolation, we assess your posture, movement, balance, gait and lower limb biomechanics to understand how your whole body works together.
Every assessment includes a personalised report, a detailed explanation of your results from an experienced MSK clinician and, where appropriate, a tailored treatment plan to help you move better, recover from injury and reduce the risk of future problems.

Why we've enhanced our assessment
Traditional assessments provide valuable information, but movement is rarely isolated to one part of the body. By combining advanced PHITS technology with MOTI Physio 3D Body Analysis and a comprehensive clinical assessment, we can better understand how posture, movement patterns and lower limb biomechanics interact. This allows us to make more informed recommendations that are personalised to you.
Why posture and movement matter
Pain is not always caused by the area that hurts. Changes in posture, balance, joint mobility, muscle function or the way your feet load can all influence how the rest of the body moves. Over time these compensations may contribute to symptoms affecting the feet, ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, back, shoulders or neck. Our assessment looks at your body as a connected system to help identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Two advanced technologies. One complete assessment.
PHITS provides an advanced assessment of your lower limb biomechanics, gait and foot loading, helping us understand how your feet influence movement throughout the body. MOTI Physio provides objective 3D analysis of your posture, alignment, balance and movement patterns without radiation or wearable sensors.
Combined with the expertise of your MSK clinician, these technologies provide far more than a scan. Your results are interpreted in the context of your symptoms, lifestyle and goals to create a personalised management plan.
What does the assessment include?
- PHITS lower-limb biomechanical and gait assessment.
- MOTI Physio 3D posture and movement analysis.
- Large-screen review of your results with your clinician.
- Personalised written report summarising your findings.
- Expert interpretation of what your results mean.
- Personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan where appropriate.
Your Results, Explained
Every assessment includes two detailed reports: one from the PHITS lower limb biomechanical assessment and one from the MOTI Physio 3D Body Analysis. Together, these provide objective information about how your body stands, moves and loads.
The most valuable part of the assessment, however, is not the reports themselves. Your clinician carefully interprets the findings from both systems, explains how they relate to your symptoms, and combines them with your clinical assessment to build a complete picture of how your body functions.
Rather than simply receiving data, you’ll leave with a clear understanding of what your results mean, along with personalised recommendations and, where appropriate, a tailored treatment plan designed around your individual needs.
Conditions we commonly assess
- Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
- Achilles tendinopathy and shin splints

Monitor your progress
Posture, movement and lower limb loading can change throughout rehabilitation. Treatment, strengthening exercises, footwear changes and orthotics can all influence how the body stands, loads and moves. Repeat PHITS and MOTI assessments allow us to compare objective measurements with your original baseline over time. This can be particularly useful during rehabilitation, after orthotic prescription, when returning to sport or when working towards longer-term movement goals.

Our team of experienced GPs and healthcare professionals provide personalised diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality, professional care in a comfortable setting.
Click below to view useful info on a few of the common conditions we treat:
Lower Limb Biomechanics & Foot Pain
We diagnose conditions linked to improper foot loading, abnormal arches, and gait imbalances, such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, and shin splints. By analysing dynamic pressure, we relieve localised discomfort and rebalance forces traveling up through your kinetic chain.
Postural Imbalances & Spinal Misalignment
We treat chronic strain across the back, neck, and shoulders caused by poor sitting postures, muscle imbalances, and joint stiffness. Using detailed 3D alignment mapping, we identify structural compensations and deliver targeted care to relieve tension and restore healthy alignment.
Compensatory Knee, Hip & Pelvic Pain
Pain in the knees or hips often stems from movement dysfunction elsewhere in the body. We treat joint degradation, bursitis, and alignment-related strains by identifying the root loading patterns, correcting joint tracking, and restoring smooth, pain-free lower limb mechanics.
Movement-Related & Overuse Sports Injuries
From runner’s knee and rotator cuff impingement to recurrent sprains, we help athletes recover safely. By evaluating your complete movement patterns, gait, and balance, we pinpoint biomechanical flaws to resolve soft-tissue strain and significantly reduce your risk of re-injury.
Balance, Gait & Stability Disorders
We assist individuals experiencing gait changes, instability, or age-related mobility decline. Our full-body assessments evaluate balance metrics and weight distribution to build targeted rehabilitation programs that strengthen stability, improve confidence, and prevent future falls.
many more
Our clinicians manage a broad spectrum of conditions, and individual assessment allows us to tailor care beyond the examples listed. We encourage you to book a consultation to discuss your symptoms and appropriate treatment options.
Symptom checker
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please book an appointment with us. Symptoms can vary from person to person and from condition to condition. A proper diagnosis can only be made through a thorough medical examination.
Our clinicians will carry out a full assessment to ensure an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.
Do you experience sharp heel pain or arch stiffness when taking your first steps in the morning?
Pain on the underside of the foot during your morning steps often points to plantar fasciitis or restricted foot biomechanics, where improper weight distribution stresses the plantar fascia during rest.
Does lower back or pelvic discomfort flare up after prolonged standing or walking?
Back pain triggered by extended standing frequently indicates poor postural alignment, uneven foot loading, or pelvic tilting that forces spinal muscles to overcompensate to keep you upright.
Do your knees ache or feel misaligned when running, climbing stairs, or squatting?
Aching around or behind the kneecap often stems from abnormal patellar tracking, driven by collapsed foot arches, hip weakness, or altered lower-limb gait mechanics under dynamic load.
Do you suffer from persistent neck tightness or shoulder aches after working at a desk?
Upper body stiffness often develops from forward head posture and rounded shoulders, causing postural strain on cervical spinal joints and upper back muscles throughout the workday.
Have you noticed uneven shoe wear, flat feet, or a feeling that one hip sits higher than the other?
Uneven footwear wear or asymmetrical hip height suggests underlying leg length discrepancies or pronation imbalances, leading your body to shift weight unevenly while walking.
Do you feel unstable on your feet or notice recurring muscle strains on one side of your body?
Repeated injuries or unsteadiness on one side point to functional compensations, where strength deficits or altered movement patterns force one side of your body to carry extra physical stress.
