Mummy MOT® and Mummy MOT Plus™ in Leicester
Pregnancy changes your whole body. Your recovery should look at your whole body too.
At The Health Suite Leicester, we offer two specialist postnatal assessments. Whether you’re looking for a comprehensive postnatal check or the most advanced assessment available with 3D Body Analysis, we’ll help you choose the option that’s right for your recovery.
A Mummy MOT® is a specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and C-section deliveries. It will assess how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after childbirth. The Mummy MOT Plus™ combines specialist postnatal assessment with advanced 3D Body Analysis to give you a clearer understanding of how your body is recovering after pregnancy and birth. Your assessment looks at pelvic floor function, abdominal recovery, posture, movement, balance and the way your body has adapted through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood. By combining objective data with clinical expertise, we create a personalised recovery plan built around your body, your symptoms and your goals.

Why we enhanced the Mummy MOT®
The Mummy MOT is one of the UK’s most recognised postnatal assessments, reviewing pelvic floor health, abdominal recovery, posture and functional movement after birth. Mummy MOT Plus™ builds on that trusted framework by adding advanced 3D Body Analysis, so we can objectively assess how pregnancy and birth have influenced the way your whole body stands, balances and moves. The result is both clinical findings and measurable data for a more precise, individualised rehabilitation plan.
Your recovery doesn't happen in parts
Pregnancy doesn’t only affect your pelvic floor. It changes your breathing, posture, abdominal wall, centre of gravity, balance and the way you lift, feed and carry your baby. Your pelvic floor, core, spine, hips, breathing and movement habits all work together, so recovery should never be reduced to one area. Mummy MOT Plus™ helps us understand these connections so your plan supports the way your body actually functions.
“Your body does not recover in parts. It recovers as a whole.”

Objective data meets clinical expertise
Advanced 3D Body Analysis captures objective measurements of posture, balance and movement in under a minute, with no radiation and no discomfort. Your clinician interprets those findings alongside your symptoms, birth history, examination and goals — so your rehabilitation is built around how your body is actually recovering, not a generic postnatal pathway.
After pregnancy this is especially valuable, because the body adapts gradually over many months. You may not notice that you are loading one side more than the other, that your posture has changed during feeding, or that your pelvis and ribcage are working differently after birth. The scan helps make these changes easier to see and understand.
About the technology
The 3D Body Analysis uses MOTI Physio, a markerless, radiation-free posture and movement analysis system. It captures posture from three views and can assess balance and movement using cameras alone — no radiation, sensors or markers — which makes it comfortable and well suited to postnatal assessment. It is used as a clinical support tool alongside your clinician’s assessment, and does not replace medical diagnosis, imaging or your usual postnatal care.
Your Recovery Blueprint™
Following your 3D Body Analysis, your results are displayed on a large consultation screen and your clinician guides you through them in real time, explaining what the images and measurements show and how they relate to your recovery goals. Rather than being handed a report to interpret alone, you leave with a clearer understanding of your body and why your plan has been recommended.
Every Mummy MOT Plus™ includes your personalised Body Blueprint™ — a clear visual summary of your findings covering posture, alignment, balance, weight distribution and movement, which also provides a baseline for future comparison if repeat scans are recommended.

What we treat
At The Health Suite Leicester, our private medical clinic offers expert care whenever you need it. Our team of experienced GPs and healthcare professionals provide personalised diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality, professional care in a comfortable setting.
Click below to view useful info on a few of the common conditions we treat:
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction & Symptoms
We treat pelvic floor issues arising after pregnancy and birth, including leaking, urinary urgency, and pelvic heaviness. Through targeted pelvic health assessments and internal examinations (with consent), we help rebuild muscle tone and restore control
Abdominal Separation (Diastasis Recti)
Pregnancy can stretch and weaken the abdominal wall. We perform detailed diastasis recti screenings and core stability checks to design safe, progressive rehabilitation programs that restore abdominal strength and support your trunk.
Postnatal Postural & Whole-Body Pain
Carrying, feeding, and lifting your baby often leads to discomfort in the lower back, pelvis, hips, ribs, or shoulders. We evaluate posture, balance, and whole-body compensations to relieve pain and improve functional daily movement.
Caesarean & Vaginal Birth Recovery
Whether you had a vaginal delivery or a caesarean section, we support your full healing process. We assess abdominal recovery, scar-related mobility, breathing mechanics, and movement habits to ensure a comfortable and complete rehabilitation.
Safe Return to Exercise & Running
Returning to high-impact sport or exercise too soon can cause setback or strain. We assess pelvic stability, posture, balance, and core control to provide safe, structured, and individualised return-to-exercise and return-to-running guidance.
many more
Our clinicians manage a broad spectrum of conditions, and individual assessment allows us to tailor care beyond the examples listed. We encourage you to book a consultation to discuss your symptoms and appropriate treatment options.
Symptom checker
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please book an appointment with us. Symptoms can vary from person to person and from condition to condition. A proper diagnosis can only be made through a thorough medical examination.
Our clinicians will carry out a full assessment to ensure an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.
Do you experience leaking, urgency, or a feeling of heaviness in your pelvic area?
Pelvic floor weakness or altered tissue tone after pregnancy often leads to accidental leaking or pelvic pressure, which can be improved through targeted pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Have you noticed a gap, doming, or weakness along the middle of your stomach?
A visible dome or weakness when engaging your core indicates abdominal separation (diastasis recti), requiring specific exercise progression to rebuild core stability safely.
Are you experiencing persistent back, pelvic, hip, or shoulder discomfort post-birth?
Postnatal pain frequently stems from changes in posture, centre of gravity, and daily movement habits like feeding or holding your baby, causing unbalanced loading across your body.
Do you feel unsure or hesitant about safely returning to exercise or running?
Feeling unready for impact exercise often relates to underlying core, pelvic floor, or balance deficits that need a structured assessment to ensure a safe transition back to sport.
Do you feel like your posture or center of gravity has significantly changed since pregnancy?
Pregnancy alters alignment, breathing patterns, and balance. A whole-body posture check helps identify compensations where one side carries more weight during daily activities.
Did you give birth months or years ago but still feel something isn't right with your body?
Postnatal recovery does not have a strict time limit. Persistent weakness, pain, or movement changes long after birth still benefit from a thorough postnatal assessment.
