Dr Aneta Obloza

Dr. Aneta Obloza is an accredited sub-specialist in Urogynaecology since 2019, specializing in female pelvic floor disorders. Her clinical interests encompass primary and recurrent pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, recurrent UTIs, bladder pain syndrome, and pelvic mesh complications. She offers tailored treatment options, including both surgical and non-surgical approaches to meet individual patient needs.

Dr. Obloza’s research is primarily focused on pelvic floor imaging during pregnancy and the effectiveness of medical therapies for overactive bladder using network meta-analysis.

Her specialized areas include:

• Pelvic organ prolapse (uterine and post-hysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse, enterocele, cystocele, rectocele repair without mesh, colpocleisis).
• Stress urinary incontinence (mid-urethral sling, colposuspension, and urethral bulking injections).
• Overactive bladder treatment (conservative, medical, and third-line therapies like sacral nerve modulation and bladder botulinum toxin injection).
• Mesh and other surgical complications.
• Urethral diverticulum.
• Defecatory problems as part of multicompartmental pelvic floor dysfunction.

During her previous role at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Dr. Aneta Obloza served as the Gynaecology Safety Lead.
