Dr Asiya Maula earned her medical degree in 2007 from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, later achieving Master’s distinctions in Public Health (2013) and Medical Education (2018). She also holds certifications from the Institute of Functional Medicine (USA) and the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and is currently advancing her training with the Kharrazian Institute.

An accomplished GP working across both the NHS and private sectors, Dr Maula integrates functional, lifestyle, and conventional medicine to address the root causes of illness. She is also a Metabolic Terrain practitioner, trained and mentored by Dr Nasha Winters, and works with patients facing complex metabolic conditions as well as those seeking a holistic lens alongside conventional cancer treatment. Her approach also extends to supporting patients in the post-cancer phase, helping them optimise recovery, restore resilience, and reduce risk of recurrence.

Her professional portfolio includes research published in leading medical journals, authorship of books, and regular conference presentations across the UK. She also designs and delivers medical education programmes for GP trainees and other healthcare professionals.

Dr Maula has a specialist interest in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for functional recovery, metabolic health, and cancer care. She is fully trained to operate HBOT chambers, having completed the Commercial m-HBOT Operations course and further training with the International Hyperbaric Association.

Passionate about lifelong learning and patient-centred care, she is dedicated to helping individuals restore health and resilience through evidence-based, multidimensional strategies.

Outside of medicine, Dr Maula enjoys family life, travel, meeting new people, and staying active as a keen runner.
